Many Ukrainians have been forced to leave their home country, where grains and fresh vegetables were plentiful and always important parts of family meals. Edinburgh Community Food welcomes these families with high-quality, fresh, healthy, traditional Scottish produce and more familiar foods for them to cook and eat together.  The process of preparing and sharing meals can provide comfort and evoke happier memories of home for people when they may feel overwhelmed by trauma. Since the first Ukrainians arrived, we have worked together to support third-sector partners and businesses to provide access to services and opportunities in Edinburgh and across the rest of the country.

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of individuals who want to help make a difference in these difficult times and we would like to assure you that this will greatly benefit those in most need across our communities in Edinburgh.
