Our Local 80 box contains only produce grown, harvested or produced by suppliers and growers such as:

Why Local 80? Here at Edinburgh Community Food, we are proud of Scotland’s natural larder and want to make sure everyone has access to it! From fresh Scottish strawberries and fluffy potatoes to tasty leeks and brussels sprouts bursting with flavour, our Local 80 fruit & vegetable boxes help to support not only us, a charity and social enterprise passionate about food and nutrition, but our local growers and suppliers, too.

By buying locally grown, harvested or produced food, we are supporting our local, Scottish economy, as well as shortening the farm – fork journey. This means the food travels less, can be fresher and in some cases, can even be more nutritious.

The contents of our fruit & vegetable boxes are subject to seasonal availability. If you purchase a box of any size via our online shop, the contents will change depending on the seasonal availability of produce ⛄🌷☀🍂 This is a great way to try ingredients and recipes you’ve not cooked with before – challenge yourself!
