Food Friends

With the aim to reduce social isolation and raise awareness of malnutrition in older people we are currently running our 'Food Friends' project in partnership with Viewpoint Housing and funded by Eat Well, Age Well.  Residents of sheltered housing aged 65 and above meet weekly for a 3 hour session to cook a meal of their choice and sit down together taste their creations and socialise around the dinner table.  There are always plenty of extra portions to take home and the group members also learn about healthy eating through nutritional activities.
