Promoting healthy eating

We promote healthy eating and cooking among families to give children the best start in life and, hopefully, keep them healthy as they grow up. We also work in the workplace to support employers and employees live healthier lives.

Community Cafe Network

Community cafes in the network support one another & work on projects which benefit everyone. The network is facilitated by Edinburgh Community Food and supported by healthyliving award and NHS Lothian

Early Years

We are active in helping parents and children make healthier choices with their diets through a number of programmes.

Training and Learning

The Edinburgh Food and Health Training Hub supports staff and volunteers working with food  by providing training and learning opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge.

Health Promoting Health Service

ECF are supporting the Health Promoting Health Service by increasing access to competitively priced fruit and vegetables through retail outlets in hospital settings. This has led to increased consumption of fruit and vegetables by staff, visitors and patients.
