We are in the third year of running a community development project in the South of Edinburgh in partnership with Out and About and Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust and funded by the City of Edinburgh Council and NHS.

What's happening?

We run cooking groups where members of the community get together to cook and eat healthy food and there's always leftovers to take home too.  We promote healthy eating, give talks on how to live a healthy lifestyle and even offer free access to our REHIS accredited qualifications.

So far we've reached a diverse range of people including families, older people, black and minority ethics groups, people with learning disabilities and those attending mental health support groups. New phases will be popping up in Oxgangs and The Inch over the next few months so watch this space!

Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust

As part of this project, Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust offer opportunities to get active and have fun at the same time.  There are gardening workshops, one-off cooking sessions, environmental enhancement workshops, woodland and greenspace activities, bike rides, buggy walks, walking groups, jogging groups, yoga, kick boxing and seated exercise.  Hop on over to their website to see what you can get involved in...
