Volunteer with us

Our volunteers are a vital part of our team and play a huge role in supporting the work we do. We’re always keen to hear from energetic and enthusiastic people who would like to get involved and make a positive difference.

We offer a range of volunteering opportunities, including supporting our Food and Health Development Team during school holidays as part of the Discover! programme. These sessions focus on food exploration, encouraging children to try new foods and build confidence in creating simple, nutritious recipes to cook again at home. Our ambitions with food are to use it positively — to encourage discovery, strengthen people’s aspirations and attainment, and, above all, to create joy.

Throughout the year, there are also opportunities to support a variety of food and health projects, such as weekly cooking courses, nutrition workshops and health information sessions. In addition, volunteers may support our Enterprise Team to help in our warehouse, pack resources, or buddy with our drivers on food deliveries. These are just some of the ways you can get involved.
