About us Meet the team Enterprise team Karen Miller Operations Manager Karen began working with Edinburgh Community Food in May 2001 as a Finance Administrator. Over the years Karen has worked in a variety of different departments and is now our Operations Manager in addition to the Account Manager for all our customers. Previously, Karen worked for Hilton Hotels as a Restaurant Manager. Her hobbies include power walking and reading when she gets a chance! E-mail: [email protected] Telephone: 0131 467 7326 Abby Kam Finance and Operations Assistant Abby joined Edinburgh Community Food in September 2022 and works part time to assist with the accounts and the daily operations of the office-related responsibilities. James Buchanan Driver James started at ECF as a driver through a Programme called Edinburgh Guarantee in July 2024 and has fitted in with the team very well. James previously worked as a driver and enjoyed his role as a "dance dad" Chauffeuring his daughter around, he now chills out watching the football. Stephen Black Driver Stephen started with Edinburgh Community Food as a volunteer driver and was recruited part time from May 2016. Stephen has 20 years experience in hospitality and is a chef to trade. Stephen hosts Pub Quiz’s in his spare time. Liam Crosby Operations/Warehouse Assistant Liam came from the Community Job Scotland programme and has excelled. He is now working permanently with ECF on a part time basis. Heather Mutch Sales/Operations Assistant Heather began working with Edinburgh Community Food in July 2018 as a Sales Assistant at our Western General Fruit and Veg Stall. In her spare time Heather enjoys going to the gym and child-minding. Tyde-Summer Turck Tyde-Summer is from the beautiful coastal town of Hermanus in South Africa and now calls Scotland home. She graduated with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Food, Nutrition and Health and is an Associate Registered Nutritionist (ANutr). She is passionate about making nutrition feel accessible, practical and meaningful with particular interest in gut health and the ever-evolving research surrounding it. Before joining ECF, Tyde-Summer worked in Learning & Development, delivering training, supporting instructor development and helping people build confidence within their roles. Her current role involves supporting both the Enterprise Team and the Food & Health Development Team, helping the two teams work collaboratively towards their shared goal of “getting people into healthy food, and healthy food into people”. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, crocheting and long walks which is usually accompanied by an ever-growing collection of thriller audiobooks.
