Leith Gives

Edinburgh Community Food are delighted to be supporting the Leith Gives campaign.

Leith Gives is a collaboration of local charities, businesses and volunteers working in the Leith area to alleviate the hardship of poverty over December and January. Leith Gives aim to provide food, Christmas gifts, toiletries and IT to those in need.

Edinburgh Community Food have started to supply 460 emergency food hampers over the Christmas period to those families in need in the Leith area. The first hampers were delivered w/c 7th December and we plan to deliver families with an additional hamper in January when money is always tight post Christmas. Each will provide ingredients for 28 meal options for a family (or 14 for a single household) and will include suggested recipes and short video links on how to make the meals.

Delivery to Dr Bell's Family Centre

We will all be missing out on our traditional Christmas work nights out and Secret Santas. Would you consider instead keeping up the tradition of Christmas giving by fundraising for Leith Gives? Any donations large or small will be really gratefully received.  You can donate here: https://justgiving.com/campaign/LeithGives
