Chris Mantle - Senior Food and Health Development Worker Expand Chris is a Registered Associate Nutritionist and has worked with Edinburgh Community Food since 2011. He supervises our dynamic development team and currently works in the South East of Edinburgh as part of Out & About (run in partnership with Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust). This project seeks to reduce social isolation and promote healthier lifestyles through outdoor activities, exercise groups, cooking and nutrition training. Jess Pearson - Food and Health Development Worker Expand Jess studied Nutrition at Kingston University in Surrey to become a Registered Associate Nutritionist and specialises in breastfeeding and early years nutrition. She joined Edinburgh Community Food in October 2017 and is the resident Nutritionist for The Willow Project where she provides nutritional support for women who have been involved in the criminal justice system. Jess also delivers the REHIS Elementary Food and Health course and runs a cooking group for young parents in the South of Edinburgh as part of the Out & About project. Jo Howie - Food and Health Development Worker Expand Jo is a Registered Associate Nutritionist and has worked at Edinburgh Community Food since February 2018. Jo primarily delivers food and nutrition sessions in the Leith area of Edinburgh and is currently running the Feeding Healthy Hermie Futures project at Hermitage Park Primary School, working with nursery families and P7 pupils. In addition, Jo works in the Inch as part of the Out and About Project in partnership with Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust. This project seeks to reduce social isolation and promote healthier lifestyles through outdoor activities, exercise groups, cooking and nutrition training. Jo is also an experienced deliverer of the REHIS Elementary Food and Health and Eating Well for Older People course. Lesley Curtis - Food and Health Develpment Worker / Edible Edinburgh Co-ordinator Expand Lesley is a Registered Associate Nutritionist and has worked part-time as a Food and Health Development Worker at Edinburgh Community Food since September 2018. She currently runs Food Friends at Viewpoint Housing, a cooking group for older adults which aims to raise the awareness of malnutrition and reduce social isolation. Lesley also works in partnership with The Willow Centre to run their Next Healthy Steps programme for women in the criminal justice system. From March 2019, Lesley has also been the Edinburgh Sustainable Food cities Co-ordinator. This is a city-wide role where she is responsible for driving the delivery of the Edinburgh Sustainable Food City Action Plan with the aim of making Edinburgh an exemplar Sustainable Food City.
