If you are eligible for Best Start you will receive £19.80 every four weeks during pregnancy. This increases to £39.60 up until your child turns one. It will then return to £19.80 every four weeks when your child is between one and three years old.
Use your Best Start Foods card with us at Edinburgh Community Food. We can make up a box filled with your choice of fresh eggs, fresh milk, fruits and vegetables and a Take and Make bag - all added up to £19.80 the monthly allowance. In addition to this we will add in some extra dry cupboard ingredients. All delivered to your door!
